Will Smith explains why he and Jada Pinkett don't say they're married anymore

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith don’t refer to themselves as “married.”
In an interview for Tidal’s “Rap Radar” podcast, the 49-year-old actor and rapper said he and his wife, 46, were changing the vocabulary used to describe their relationship.

“We don’t even say we’re married anymore,” he said. “We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life.”
 
The couple married in 1997 and have two children together, Jaden and Willow.
 
They’ve faced divorce speculation over the years, but Smith said there was “nothing” that would end their marriage.
 
“There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do — ever,” he said on the podcast. “Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death, and it feels so good to get to that space.”
 
He addressed the divorce speculation in May when he released a teaser for a new songcalled “In The Clique.” The rap included the lyric “Stop the divorce rumors and mind your d— business.”
