Fast-rising Ghanaian actress Gifty Asante has said point blank on Joy Prime’s ‘Gee Spot’ show that she cannot finance a relationship because that is the duty of the man.
To her, a man who is ready to be with her should be financially sound because a relationship is not a marriage where she knows the two are building a better future together.

Speaking to MzGee, host of the program, Gifty mentioned that she would support the man during their journey once in a while but would not be dipping her hands into her pocket anytime the two need cash for a hangout, property or other purposes.
Gifty Asante believes that a guy who always cooks stories just to get money from a lady is not serious for a relationship. To her, she does thorough checks before accepting a man in her life because she does not want to be taken advantage of.

When asked if she would continue to date a guy if he fails to pay for the bills for a dinner she suggested, Gifty said she wouldn’t mind since she requested for it because the guy might not have money at the time she asked for it. The actress quickly added that she will later study the guy carefully if she is interested in him to make sure giving excuses anytime he has to release money is not his habit.
Gifty Asante is best remembered for her roles in movies like Kalybos in China, “Onifranii Asem” and many others.
