Military launch an operation to identify and apprehend driver who killed soldier Sormenah

The Ghana military has launched an operation to identify and apprehend the driver who sent Lt Felix Tei Sormenah to his early grave.

AtinkaNews reported the news of the passing away of Lt. Felix Tei Sormenah, who died after he was knocked down by a car.

The accident happened at Akosombo, where the driver was said to have sped off leaving the soldier with severe injuries. He was said to have been admitted at the hospital but died on Friday, September 7, 2018.

According to the report  by Ghanaweb.com, the Ghana military is said to have launched an operation to identify and arrest the driver who killed Sormenah.

To aid in the identification of the killer driver, one of his side mirrors which was said to have been ripped off after hitting the driver, is with the security agencies.

Therefore, members of the public have been urged to volunteer information about the driver for identification.

The family of Lt. Felix Tei Sormenah have also called on the public to help with finding the driver.

The deceased soldier was set to marry his fiancée, Efua, just next month, October 6, 2018.

The marriage ceremony has been planned and wedding invitations sent out, but it appears people will have to attend his funeral instead of his wedding.
