Abigail Aborgah breaks UCC records:becomes best graduating student

A former student of St Martins Secondary School in the Eastern Region, Abigail Sedinam Aborgah, has emerged the best graduating student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

With a final CGPA of 3.859, Miss Abigail Sedinam Aborgah was crowned the best graduating student from the UCC College of Education Studies at the University of Cape Coast.

Miss Aborgah, a 2013 alumni of St. Martin’s Senior High School was the overall best student of the 2013 year batch. She has replicated the feat in UCC as well.

Speaking at the event, Provost of the College, Prof. Eric Magnus Wilmont, stated that this was the first time in the history of the College that a female student has won the award with such a high CGPA.

He urged that the society must encourage girl child education since it was obvious that both genders could be of relevance to the society and the nation at large with the right education and training.

Miss Aborgah said she was able to get attain the height by the grace of God and extensive hard work. She went on to dedicate her award to her family.

She was affiliated to Atlantic Hall popularly known as the Mariners.
