Reign concert: Tough guy Shatta Wale Wept (Video)

He is high strung and perceived as too hard by most people but on Saturday night, Shatta Wale showed his emotional side when he launched his much anticipated Reign album at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale got emotional at the launch of his album, ‘Reign’ Saturday, 13th October 2018 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair-Accra. Shatta during his performance paused and lamented about how the music industry has made he suffered.

In a teary voice, Wale spoke about how he’s suffered as an artiste since coming to the music scene and warned that no one should piss him off because he’s doing his best as an artiste. He almost broke down but run from the stage when he realised he couldn’t control his emotions anymore.

“The way Ghana music industry make me I suffer err,I suffer for Ghana too much and nobody for try me, nobody for worry me for ghana. den nor go fit me I swear. You people dey make I dey kae some things. Why me alone, everybody go dey fight am, as I dey sing, you nor dey like”

The Reign concert was a big success for Shatta Wale and Zylofon Media. The four-hour event saw the Gringo star perform some of his old and newest tracks for the fans who turned up in their numbers to support him.

Shatta Wale rocked the stage alongside Michy, Zylofon Arts Club acts as well as the SM Militants.

The Reign album has 17 tracks. According to Shatta, although he loves all the songs on the album, his favourite is Exodus because it is inspired by his real life struggles.
