Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II gets brand new Jaguar from Akufo-Addo

The new overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II has received a customized Jaguar solon car from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo according to reports on MyNewsGh.

The vehicle was towed to Yendi to be donated to the chief after his official outdooring, according to report by MyNewsGh. The investiture of the overlord of the Dagbon tradition area took place on Friday, January 25, 2019.

Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II coronation which took place at the forecourt of the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, makes him the 42nd Ya-Naa with a promise to champion development on behalf of residents of Dagbon.

The colorful event was graced by President Akufo-Addo-Addo, former president Mahama and other political bigwigs from across the country.

In a speech read for him, he rallied support from both factions to deliver on his mandate and promise to be impartial in the discharge of his duties as required.

President Nana Addo’s dressing to Ya-Naa’s coronation has gone viral on the Ghanaian social media landscape.

The first gentle-man of the land was seen rocking a Batakari with a welton boot.

Nana Addo has received accolades for completing a long-standing arbitration process in Dagbon, one of the traditional kingdoms in Ghana.

The newly-outdoored overlord of Dagbon pledged his commitment towards peace and development in Dagbon and the Northern Region as a whole.

He also appealed to President Akufo-Addo-Addo to construct a new palace for the Ya Naa and the people of Dagbon.
