One-year-old boy stolen from Takoradi rescued by police

The One-year-old boy who was kidnapped from his mother at Takoradi Market Circle last Friday has been rescued.

Reports suggest little Francis Mawusi Ahiabenu was rescued in Effiekuma Zongo around 11 pm on Monday  by the Western Regional SWAT Team after a tip off.

The woman involved in the kidnapping had an accomplice, a man who is believed to be a Togolese according to reports have been arrested.

The baby has since been released to his parents after being examined at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.

The baby was stolen from his mother last Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Takoradi Market Circle.

The one-year-old boy was stolen from his mother when she was attending to customers in the market.
