Why Shatta Wale didn’t shout ‘paah paah paah’ in song with Beyonce (video)

Ghanaian Dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has explained why his verse on the Already song with Beyoncé did not feature any of his signatures.

According to Shatta Wale, he was making the song for global consumption so he had to go by the global standards.

The much-awaited song with Beyonce was released on Friday, July 19, 2019, as part of the Lion King: The Gift album.

After the official release, there have been a lot of praises fro Shatta Wale for his performance on the track.

While the praises have been massing up, there have been others who have wondered why Shatta Wale did not use any of his signatures which include Paah Paah Paah, SM4Lyf, Champion, among others.

Speaking in an interview on Zylofon FM after the song’s release, Shatta Wale explained that it is not the regular practice globally and he had to conform to standards.

Shatta Wale further stated that Beyoncé, Jay Z, and the others do not usually announce themselves so loudly in such international standard songs so he had to toe that line.

Moreover, he did not know if Beyonce’s team will be okay with it or not so had to take it off and see how it goes.
