CEO of SarkCess Music and Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie has finally reacted to AMG signee, Medikal’s statement that he saved Ghana rap music 4 years ago when it was dying.
According to the 2019 VGMA Best Rapper of the Year, he saved Ghana rap from dying four years ago.

In a post on twitter , Medikal made claims concerning his contribution to Ghana rap.
After posting a beautiful photo of himself, Medikal captioned it:”4 years ago I saved Ghanaian Rap music from dying and I promise to keep it alive.”
Medikal’s comment generated brouhaha on social media as music lovers and some industry players saw his assertion as total disrespect to the top rappers like M.anifest, Sarkodie, Obrafour, Okyeame Kwame amongst others.

Sarkodie who has been quiet over Medikal’s Statement has finally reacted.
Speaking in an interview on 4syte TV the Sarkcess Music boss disclosed that Medikal saying he saved rap music 4 years ago doesn’t mean he(Sarkodie) was out of the picture but then he was speaking to his generation of rappers.
“When I call myself..When am rapping and I say am the best, am not thinking about Obrafour but I still see Obrafour as the one but at that moment am not thinking about Obrafour.So when I listen to Medikal talk about him, I know it’s the same thing. He is not thinking Sark is out of the way and am here..At least that’s what I think. That’s not where he is coming from. As a rapper, you are supposed to feel like that “ Sarkodie emphasized.
