A six-year-old boy was has been murdered and his head cut off by his own father in the Sefwi Debiso area of the Western North region.
Suspect Kwabena Abraham, according to police confessed that he wanted to use his son, Oscar Tanu and two other boys for rituals.

In a situation report prepared by the police in Sefwi, one Kwabena Dosu, who lives in the same house with the suspect called at the police station at 1040 GMT to report a case of murder last week Friday and led the police to cocoa shed where the crime was committed near Nkrabea village.
“Complainant led Police to a thicket in the midst of cocoa trees and found a beheaded body lying in a supine position with the head lying by the foot with a sharp cutlass and a mortar covered with fresh blood”
“The body and the head were separately inspected and found that the culprit used the cutlass to behead the boy after which he placed the deceased’s head on the wooden mortar and cut it off,” the situation report stated”
According to police in Sefwi, the prime suspect confessed that he was contracted to kill three boys for rituals and “he has managed to kill one and the two others are on the waiting list in the custody of Joe Naaba.”

The prime suspect then led police to Joe Naaba’s residence near Kwabena Dosu village where the boys namely Baba Moro age 10 and Awuni Mohammed also age 10 were rescued. The two boys are currently in safe custody with the police.
The three suspects were quickly arraigned before the District Magistrate Court, Debiso, and remanded into prison custody to appear on 13th October 2019.
