On Tuesday, September 11, Chepkurui and 200 other parents stormed the school compound in pursuit of justice for her daughter,.

She had nothing to use as a pad. When the blood stained her clothes, she was told to leave the classroom and stand outside,” her mother Beatrice Chepkurui narrated.

The placard wielding parents condemned the teacher’s action, making it clear that it was wrong to humiliate the young girl for staining her school dress.

It was very inhumane for the teacher to humiliate her, and that is the reason she hanged herself. The teacher should take responsibility,” one of the parents explained.

On his part, the school’s headteacher, John Kosile, maintained that he was not in a position to comment on the matter as it was currently under investigation by local police.

Five of the protesting parents were taken into custody as they brought the school to a standstill baying for the blood of the teacher.
