All this started after the xenophobic attacks in South Africa against foreigners led to the musicians sharing controversial tweets on social media.

Rapper AKA had tweeted things that made people accuse him of being xenophobic and Burna Boy had warned the SA rapper to be fully protected the next time they happen to meet. Burna also vowed never to visit the country again.

A few months down the line, the self-acclaimed African Giant has gone back on his own words and is set to perform for the first time since the incident in South Africa.

SA rapper, AKA, has also used the opportunity to demand for an apology from Burna. According to him, he is ready to swallow his pride and Burna should do the same if truly he is an African giant.

He wrote:

“Ek se … @burnaboy…all we want is an apology. We know ?? is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.”
