Court dismisses Busola Dakolo’s case against COZA pastor, Order her to Pay 1 Million damages

The Nigerian High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Court 12 sitting at Bwari has dismissed the rape case filed by Busola Dakolo against Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Senior Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

The court sitting on Thursday, November 14, 2019, dismissed the case against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo on the ground that it amounts to injustice, and an abuse of judicial process. According to the ruling, the case is empty and purely sentimental.

The court further awarded costs of N1,000,000 against Busola Dakolo and held that it would have been 10 times more but resisted it because there are women with legitimate claims who may approach the court.

The Court held that the case carries more of cruelty in them than justice.

This came after Fatoyinbo filed an Objection and an affidavit at the Court reiterating that Busola’s statements were false and concocted to embarrass, scandalise and ridicule him.

Recall, Busola had come out months ago to accuse the senior pastor of raping her years ago when she was 17 years old. The matter has dragged on since then with various controversies along the way.
