Andy Ruiz warmly greets Joshua’s mother Yeta Odusanya at pre-fight dinner

Andy Ruiz may be the boxing champion but the heavyweight star shows some humility courtesy ahead of his rematch with Joshua after he was seen greeting his opponent’s mum during Thursday, December 5 gala dinner.

The Mexican star will be up against the Briton this Saturday, December 7, in the second showdown to hold in 15,000 capacity Riyadh stadium.

Ruiz, who stunned Joshua in June at Madison Park in New York with a seventh round knock-out, met again with his opponent at Al Faisaliah Hotel to douse the tension the rematch has been courting.

And of course, the California-Mexican born star exhibited some courageous show of respect after he was seen shaking Joshua’s mum at the pre-fight dinner on Thursday evening.

Donned in a popular long white regalia of the Arab culture, the 30-year-old was captured all smiles as he walked down to where Joshua’s mother Yeta Odusanya was sitting, stretching his hand forward for pleasant handshake.

Joshua’s mum, who wore a burnt orange gown with a beautiful grey-stoned head-tie reciprocated the respect with smiles.

The scene was finally capped with Joshua planting some deep kisses on his mother’s head as Ruiz took pictures with other guests in the hall.
