British fighter Anthony Joshua has reclaimed his heavyweight titles six months after initially losing them to Andy Ruiz.
The 30-year-old boxer won the bout through unanimous decision having amassed more points than his opponent in the bout.

Joshua won back the WBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight titles on Saturday night with a 12-round action-packed after defeating Ruiz Jr. in Saudi Arabia.
The Briton got the battle off to a flying start after landing an eye-cutting blow on his opponent in the very first round.

The title challenger having drawn the first blood did not look back as he grew in confidence and made use of the ring smarter than he did in their first match.

Ruiz tried getting back into the fight with a similar punch that earned him victory in the first meeting but Joshua was able to take the punch without much damage.
The Briton managed to maintain a distance having received a heavy punch from his opponent in the second round while using his long hands to keep the Mexican-American at bay.

Ruiz made another breakthrough in the fourth round when his overhand landed on Joshua just before the bell rang.

Joshua made another point after aiming another strong blow on his opposition in the sixth round but it was not enough to make the American kiss the canvass.

Ruiz Jr as at the seventh round was already getting frustrated with Joshua’s movement but the challenger needed to be careful to avoid a repeat of what took place in June.

The Mexican hit another major breakthrough in the eighth round after landing heavy punches on Joshua’s head. He absorbed even more jabs and punches in the ninth.

At the end of the bout, the British born fighter emerged champion and joined the exclusive list of fighters (Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis) who bounced back after suffering defeats.
