Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale is at it again as he descends on Charterhouse, and his colleague musicians.
This follows plea by C.E.O of Chaterhouse, Theresa Ayoade that the industry should grow beyond Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy after they created a brawl at the 2019 edition of the VGMAs.
“Can you as the media help the industry rise above these two? Let’s rise above these two and let the industry breathe and move on,” she appealed. “Sarkodie won artiste of the decade and nobody even talked about it. The industry is bigger than these two artistes and that what I what I want you to go back with. There are a lots of young people who need the opportunity so let’s move on”, she said.
Respoding to these comments in a Facebook Live video, Shatta Wale warned Charterhouse not to try to fool Ghanaian artistes.
”Dey they make dema mind sey anything they want just talk like ebi dem dem dey control….Don’t think you can fool us because you are not controlling the musicians union . You don’t have that power, that mandate!”, he exclaimed
The ‘Melissa’ hit maker compared the work of the VGMA board to Ghana’s Electoral Commission and stressed that the board doesn’t have the right to ban artistes.
”They do election and they vote…. and they say dem dey fight, wey dem they vote and Electoral Commission sey e dey ban NDC and NPP…. They don’t have that power.”, he stressed.
Shatta Wale also stated that he doesn’t need nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and described members of the VGMA board as poor.
