District Chief Executive throws heavy blows at police officer.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Afigya Kwabre South of the Ashanti Region, Christian Adu-Poku, has been captured in a video having war of words with some police officers discharging their duties as the President directed.

While details of what brought the altercation between the government official and the police officers remain dicey, it appears the officers were attempting to get Hon. Christian Adu-Poku to comply with the president’s directive regarding the partial lockdown.

Some parts of Accra, Kasoa and Tema, Kumasi and its neighboring environments are currently undergoing a partial lockdown in accordance with the directives by President Akufo-Addo.

Personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces and the Police were charged to ensure strict compliance of the president’s orders by the public.

In the video the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Christian Adu-Poku was allegedly seen challenging the directives of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

One of the police officers who was involved in the arguement was attacked by the District Chief Executive.

”A whole government official throwing blows on police…We are going to report your conduct,” the police officer said.

Christian Adu-Poku was also heard raining insults on the police officers and labelling him as a thief.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that the Ministry of Health has confirmed that the total number of recorded cases for COVID-19 is now 204 as of April 3, 2020.
