A 28-year-old porridge seller identified as Suweiba Jibrim has met her untimely death as she was crushed by a vehicle while she was selling at a joint at Adiebeba, a suburb in Kumasi.
The deceased, a koko (porridge) seller identified as Suweiba, died instantly after being she was hit by a Hyundai Elantra private car while selling at a spot at Adiebeba.
This unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday,1 April 2020 and has left the entire family and the whole family in complete distress.

According to Wofa Francis, a customer of the deceased who survived the accident, he saw the car coming at tough speed, veered towards their direction, and hit the two of them. He got knocked down somewhere while the koko seller went under the car.
Reports say, the Hyundai vehicle which ran into her with registration number GR 682-16, driven by a young female reportedly lost control and veered off the Ahodwo-Daban main street killing the porridge seller instantly and injuring a customer who was being served.
Francis Baah said he went to buy porridge on the morning of Wednesday, 1 April 2020, and while he stood by the roadside, a vehicle at full speed came towards their direction and hit them.

This breached the partial lockdown currently being enforced in Kumasi as apart of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the driver of the private car Elizabeth Atta Kumah has been arrested and put in police custody pending investigation into the accident.
