Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has marked his 70th birthday.
The King born on May 6 became the successor of the Golden Stool in 1999 following the departure of Otumfuo Opoku Ware II.

President Akufo-Addo and former President Mahama shared messages to congratulate Otumfuo as he marks his 70th birthday.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings have also wished the Asantehene well.

Born Nana Barima Kwaku Duah, Otumfuo Osei Tutu has peacefully made himself an emblem of leadership.
The Asantehene has been seen celebrating his birthday with some family members, friends and loved ones wearing white attires.
