Bishop Obinim arrested, charged in court and granted GH¢100,000 bail for forgery

The controversial preacher, Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder and leader of International God’s Way Church has been granted a ¢100,000 bail with three sureties, one person to be justified by Magistrate court in Accra.

The Ghana Police Service has disclosed in a statement on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Deputy Superintendent of Police Juliana Obeng, Bishop Obinim is being investigated for a publication of false news and forgery of a document.

The statement also indicated that the man of God(Bishop Obinim) is being investigated for other offences he has allegedly committed.

The controversial pastor and founder of the International God’s Way Church was apprehended on Tuesday for committing a crime of forgery which is against the law.

The police say he will reappear before the court on June 1, 2020.
