Many got dreaded after a loaded gas tanker went off track and fell on a passenger car at Osamkrom in the Gomoa Central District, 2nd June, 2020.
Base on the reports gathered, the gas tanker was coming from Accra to Agona Swedru to offload while the passenger car was also traveling from Swedru moving towards Winneba.

Some eye witnesses said upon reaching Osamkrom prison junction, the passenger car had a great fall after which the gas tanker ran over it.
In an tempts to help save the trapped passengers, it took not less than four hours with no instant success.
Eye witnesses say they heard some passengers in the car shouting with all their strength for help.

The Ghana National Fire Service are yet to reveal the total number of passengers who have died as they wait for a towing car to lift the tanker off the passenger car.
The District Chief Executive for Gomoa Central, Benjamin Kojo Oto, disclosed that an ambulance has conveyed some of the casualties to various hospitals and mortuary.
At the scene was the surfacing of the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, who appealed to drivers to always drive with caution as the country enters a season where it rains heavily .

As we speak, personnel from the Fire service are yet to lift the tanker from the ditch. Hmmm!
Because of the accident, passengers of moving cars got stranded on both sides of the road and hence causing a long traffic.
