Popular Ghanaian highlife musician identified as Kwabena Akwaboah and professionally known as Akwaboah, was signed to Sarkodie’s Sarkcess music. However, in 2019 they parted ways.
Base on sources, it was unclear what made Akwaboah and Sarkodie part ways. After parting ways with Sarkodie and the Sarkcess music label, Akwaboah joined another record label, OB Empire

In a recent one-on-one interview with GBC Radio Central’s Amansan Krakye, the multi-styles singer and songwriter, revealed that he does not regret his decision to part ways with Sarkodie and his Sarkcess label.
He said that parting ways with Sarkodie has opened another door for him to try out many things. He further revealed that he doesn’t see himself returning back to the label and that he has resolved to forge ahead in life.
“For now I would like to do so many things on my own rather than going back to be under the Sarkcess Music record label….So it’s forward ever”

The singer mantains that he still have a very strong and healthy relationship with his former boss.
Although Akwaboah is talented, many Ghanaians are doubtful that his new record label has garnered enough expertise and international recognition to successfully propel his music career as much as his previous label, Sarkcess Music did.
We however, must admit that the Akwaboah is talented, resilient and willing to forge ahead regardless of any circumstance. We are expecting so much from him. Let’s see how far he goes with his new label.
