Nigerian Military dropped more details over the death of Tolulope Arotile

Nigerian Military have released more details about the situation surrounding the demise of Tolulope Arotile who met her untimely death in an accident.

Arotile, the late was Nigeria’s first ever female combat helicopter pilot. She passed away on Wednesday, July 15, after allegedly being hit by a reversing car.

Reliable sources from the Military disclosed that the driver of the supposed car which hit Arotile resulting to her death is now in custody.

Military sources who wants to remain anonymous told Channels TV that the driver who hit the officer down is a civilian who does not have any valid driving documents.

As said by the the sources, the civilian driver, in the company of his friends, paid visit to his relatives at the Airforce base situated in Mando area of Kaduna metropolis on that fateful day.

The said driver wanted to drop off the late Airforce pilot whom he saw on the road inside the base. But when he was reversing the car, he unfortunate hit down the deceased, who died after sustaining head injuries.

Sources revealed during cross-examination it was found out that the driver of the car, who is Arotile’s former secondary school classmate has no valid driver’s licence.

Meanwhile, the driver and other occupants of the car are currently in the custody of the Air police.
