COVID-19: President Akuffo-Addo lifts restrictions on religious gatherings; service hours increased

The President of the republic of Ghana His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has added an additional hour to the religious activities for churches and mosques in the country making it a total of two hours.

The president made this known at the 14th broadcast on coronavirus in the country.

President Akufo-Addo disclosed the new directive takes effect from Saturday, August 1, 2020.

He expounded that this decision was taken as a result of the high level of adherence to the safety protocols particularly by the religious bodies.
