Pay me for using my song for your manifesto launch’ – Worlasi slams NDC

Ghanaian musician, Worlasi has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of using his song for their manifesto presentation without his knowledge.

The National Democratic Congress yesterday used the “Mawena” hit singer’s song dubbed “one life” in their manifesto launch.

Addressing the issue in a video posted on social media by the artiste,Worlasi addressed the fact that he didn’t sign off for any political party to use his song in their political activities so he doesn’t comprehend why the NDC will go out of their way to do exactly that.

He however added that the party needs to compensate him for using his intellectual property.

Worlasi who seem angry in the video bemoaned that the NDC didn’t help him in any way to create good music.

NDC, you didn’t help me make my music. You did not help me in any way in my life for me to create good music. I am not part of your manifesto so please do the right thing. Make sure you make to me the necessary payments. Do what is right and start wiring the money.”
