Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson warns fans about this online scam [video ]

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has taken to her Instagram to alert her fans and followers not to fall victim of scammers using her name to con innocent people out of money.

Mercy Johnson who currently lives abroad in the US, posted a clip of warning her followers about a new fraudulent new scheme on social media.

According to Mercy, the fraudster is using her name on Facebook to supposedly give away prizes, after which they ask fans to send them money to release them.

Mercy says in the clip; “I hate the fact that so many of you are being defrauded on a daily basis.

“I do not have any Facebook page or account where I tell you to send money to me because you’ve won a vehicle or won money…that’s fake.

These fraudulent activities are not from me or my team…Don’t believe everything you read or don’t believe anyone who comes to you saying it’s from me and asking you to pay money…I would never do that.”

In the caption of the clip she added; “Please don’t fall victim to scammers. Only follow all my verified pages for updates and information from me.
