Mrs. Jean Mensah of Electoral Commission fame has officially responded to rumours of her evacuating to the United States after declaring the 2020 presidential results.
If you could remember, right after the declaration of the presidential results by the EC boss, Mrs Jean Mensa, there were speculations that she had travelled outside Ghana.
These rumours spreading at a faster pace that the Jean Mensa left the country few hours after declaring the Presidential Election Results on Wednesday 9th December were best seen on the social media walls of most National Democratic Congress fanatics and even their top party members have also said same.
But the Electoral Commission in a press statement released on 11th December and maintained that their Chairperson is still in the country.
Fast forward, footage has surfaced that shows Mrs Jean Mensa in a place that looks like her office with some EC staff.
It’s obvious the EC boss personally recorded the video to rubbish such claims that she travelled overseas right after declaring the presidential results.
In the video, she was sighted with her staffers all observing the Covid-19 protocols with their nose mask on and boldly telling the NDC and some Ghanaians that she is in Ghana.
“I’m sure they will say this is not live, I have a valid visa to the united states but I love my country and I am not travelling at this time. I love my country”, Mrs. Jean Mensa said in the footage.
