“Pressure won’t move me to marry” – Yvonne Okoro replies trolls attacking her over her little sister’s marriage

Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro has revealed that no amount of pressure on social media or from friends would move her to get married.

The actress is one of the female celebrities who face constant questions from followers and fans on social media as well as in interviews on when she will settle down.

Yvonne was recently dragged on social media after her younger sister, Roseline Okoro tied the knot to her sweetheart Anthony.

Though people are happy that the younger sister of the award-winning actress has gotten married, some people have a problem with that.

Not an accepted culture or norm but in the African setting, people wish to see the eldest daughter getting married before her other siblings and that is the main reason why Yvonne Okoro is being trolled on social media.

According to some people, she should be ashamed of herself that he younger sister is getting married before her when it’s supposed to be the other way around.

But in an interview with Abeiku Santana on the Atuu show which aired on UTV last Saturday, the beautiful actress said the rate of divorce in the country was very high and in order not to add to the numbers, it was best to take her time and marry the right man.

According to Yvonne, she would prefer a man who is caring and appreciates his mother. “A man who loves his mother cherishes women and looks is the last thing I consider when choosing a man,” she stated.

Asked whether men come her way, the Single Six actress replied yes but said she was careful who she gave her heart to.
