Ghanaian media personality, Xandy Kamel has finally rendered a sincere apology on her behalf and that of her company, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) after they were sued by Salma Mumin for defamation.
Recall, Xandy Kamel on her show “Yeenom Tea” on Angel TV alleged that Actress, Salma Mumin has snubbed men of her age and currently seeing married and older men. She stated that Salma Mumin herself confirmed this to her.
Infuriated by her statement, Salma Mumin through her lawyers filed a lawsuit against Xandy Kamel and her TV station for defamation.
The writ stated that Xandy Kamel should refrain from making the same or similar defamatory statements about her on her show and instead issue an unqualified apology and a retraction of the said statements in the Daily Graphic and on Angel TV with the same prominence and passion as the defamatory statements.
Salma also demanded an amount to the tune of GHc1,000,000 as compensation for the utterance of false statements against her by the presenter.
Well, Xandy Kamel has finally rendered a sincere apology to Salma Mumin for her defamatory statement against her. She said that her statement affected the actress in so many ways and for that, on behalf of herself and her company, she sincerely apologizes and looks forward to working with her in no time.
