Ghanaian television host and actress, Joselyn Dumas says the just passed E-Levy will derail the efforts of Ghana’s digitization agenda.
Her comments come after several mobile banking agents across the country have suffered panic withdrawals by some Ghanaians.
This was after the E-Levy was passed on Tuesday, 28th March, 2022.
The actress however believes that the 1.5% charge on electronic transactions across the country will kill Ghana’s digital migration agenda.
Joselyn Dumas took to her Twitter page on Thursday, March 31, 2022, to express her thoughts.
“People are emptying their MoMo left and right. I guess we’re back to the cash system in Ghana. E-Levy will be the demise of digitization. The charges are ridiculous!…. What??” She tweeted.
