Among the highlights of the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was the moment fireworks from KiDi’s performance caught the cloth of the led lights held above.
The 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took place on Saturday, May 7. The event came off at the Grand Arena in Accra.

KiDi took home four awards on the night including the coveted ‘Artiste of the Year’. He also won the Afrobeats Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year and Album of the Year awards.
Stonebwoy returned to win the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award.
Black Sherif won the Best New Artiste of the Year. Kuami Eugene went home without an award. Also, Mayorkun joined Camidoh on stage to perform.
On television , this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) was held without any glitches.

Well, there were things that happened at the event venue to we that we watched on TV and didn’t see. One of such moments was the moment a mini flame started.
Per a video we have in our possession, the fireworks from KiDi’s performance caught the cloth of the led lights held above and it started a mini flame.
As the fire extinguisher was being used to quench the fire, it also ‘exploded’ and scattered on the face of the person who was quenching the fire.
