Symantia Nekita Blythe — A woman was killed in a shooting in Raleigh on Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened on Calumet Drive by the Pines of Ashton apartment complex.

Police found Symantia Nekita Blythe with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she died. Blythe was 34.
WRAL‘s Breaking News Tracker says many children were out waiting for the bus near the time of the shooting being reported, just before 7 a.m.
A sizable group of police officers could be seen gathered in a grassy area, surrounded by yellow tape. Investigators consider the case to be a homicide.

Police believe whoever shot Symantia Nekita Blythe fled the scene. They are working on identifying a suspect and looking for a description of the vehicle they escaped in so they can track the person down.
