Wizkid pay tribute to Davido late son during performance in New York (video)

Nigerian singer Wizkid has shown solidarity with his co-superstar Davido over the latter’s loss of his son Ifeanyi.

The Grammy winner recently thrilled New York City with a sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden (MSG) where he expressed his condolences to the grieving singer who lost his son some weeks ago.

While Wizkid’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, played two of Davido’s songs, “Dami Duro” and “If,” Wizkid sang along and declared his love for the singer. “O.B.O., we love you,” he said.

The action from the ‘Essence’ crooner has since received admiration from netizens who jailed him for putting aside his long running rivalry with Davido to show empathy.

Three-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke died on October 31 after drowning inside the swimming pool at Davido’s residence unattended.

Both Davido and his partner Chioma Avril Rowland had travelled for a family function when the sad incident happened.

The parents have been devastated, cutting off social media and cancelling planned shows and other engagements ever since.
