Peter Obi, has finally broken his silence hours after INEC announced his rival Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressive Candidate (APC) as the President-elect of the 2023 presidential election.

“World Press Conference” is one of the trending conversations on social media platforms as Peter Obi breaks into tears while adressing the press after losing the presidential election to Tinubu.

Recall that the presidential election was held on Saturday, February 25th, 2023 and APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the winner.

INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 to defeat his closest rivals and candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Obi of the Labour Party, LP who scored 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 respectively

However while addressing the press today, March 2nd, 2023, Peter Obi rejects Tinubu’s victory as he asserts that he won the election and he’ll prove it to Nigerians.

In his words; “Labour party won the election and I will prove it. I have had several phone calls where I asked people to remain calm and peaceful, that has nothing to do with what I am challenging, I am challenging the process. “if a process is faulty, it is faulty, in fact, you can’t build peace on a faulty foundation, it cannot happen anywhere in the world.”

However, the emotional moment that got many people talking was when Peter Obi breaks into tears following the defeat while addressing the press.
