He had his high school education at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, and was actively engaged in sports including football, baseball, and basketball. The season finished with Patrick Mahomes as the leader for yards per game, passing yards, and total offense, while also being the leader for points and touchdowns. He made a public announcement on 3rd January 2017 that he would enter the NFL draft and forfeited his last college year.
During the throwing session at the trials, his passes reached a whopping 60 mph becoming the third tie to the NFL record for the fastest pass.
He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2017 NFL draft making him the first quarterback they picked in the first round since 1983. He continues to play for Kansas to date and hasn’t quit putting in his all for the time.
