Auburn has released a statement addressing news surrounding running back Jarquez Hunter.
The statement came from the university’s executive director of public affairs, Jennifer Adams, Thursday night.
“We are aware of the situation and take this matter very seriously,” the statement read. “The appropriate office are conducting a thorough review. Indefinite suspensions have been issued for violation of applicable Auburn Athletics department policy. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

Who is Jarquez Hunter?
Jarquez Hunter born December 29, 2002 is an American football running back for the Auburn Tigers.
Hunter attended Neshoba Central High School in Philadelphia, Mississippi where he was Mr. Football for the state of Mississippi as a senior.
Hunter was rated a 3 star recruit coming out of high school and was the nations 44th ranked running back recruit.
Hunter committed to play college football at Auburn University over Mississippi State and Iowa.
College career
As a freshman, Hunter was Auburn’s #2 running bank behind Tank Bigsby. In the Tiger’s week 2 game against Alabama State
Hunter set a Auburn record for the longest rush in program history with a 94 yard touchdown rush. He finished the 2021 season with 593 yards on 6.7 yards per carry.

What happened to Jarquez Hunter
Hunter was allegedly in a video that made its way around social media Thursday of the Tigers star allegedly engaging in s3χual activity.
According to OutKick, the video purporting to show Hunter having s3χual activity with an unidentified woman leaked earlier this week, from a Twitter account labeled “Jarquez Exposed.”
It is unknown at this time who made the recording.
The account, which has since been suspended from the platform, sought to charge $5 to view the s3χ tape allegedly involving the Auburn running back.

Auburn students suspended after Jarquez Hunter video leaks
Meanwhile, Multiple Auburn students have been suspended after a tape allegedly involving s3χual acts with star running back Jarquez Hunter leaked on social media earlier this week.
“We are aware of the situation and take this matter very seriously,” Auburn said in a statement.
“The appropriate offices are conducting a thorough review. Indefinite suspensions have been issued for violation of applicable Auburn Athletics department policy. No further comment will be provided at this time.”
It is not known how many students have been suspended, or if Hunter is among them, as the school has declined to identify these specifics.
