Born on June 15, 1976, Michael Block is an American professional golfer and golf instructor.
He developed a love for playing golf at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after golfers.
Block attended Mississippi State University and also the University of Missouri; St. Louis playing golf in both colleges.

For the love of the game, Block later bagged a degree in golf course management from the San Diego Golf Academy.
From 1998 until 2004, he was the assistant club professional at The Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert, California.
A few months later, Block became head club professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California.
As a professional golfer, Block has appeared in 24 PGA Tour events over his career and has made the cut in just four of those events.
He has won the Southern California PGA Player of the Year award nine out of ten years from 2012 to 2022
He has also won three Southern California PGA Championships (2017, 2018, 2022) and the 2014 PGA Professional Championship.

During round 2 of the tournament, he scored birdies at three of his first five holes to move into joint-second place.
As the game progressed, he also dropped three shots in two holes and finished the day on even par.
Block finished the second round T10 and third round T8, the first time a club pro was inside the top ten since Jay Overton in 1988.
