Shocking video footage from inside a baggage claim area of a busy airport shows a huge brawl breaking out, involving at least a dozen people.

The mass fight happened at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Monday night, May 22, according to police officials.

Video, posted to Twitter, which shows guys and girls getting into the knockdown, drag out fight Monday night at the baggage claim area of Terminal 3.

Unclear what triggered the violence … but the scene quickly turned chaotic, and the participants started wailing at one another.

You see 3 men wildly throw punches on the luggage carousel. Women try to pull out each other’s hair while grappling on the ground. One woman is barefoot, having lost her shoes during the WWE-like Battle Royal.

After the video ended, Chicago Police confirmed in a statement that two people had been arrested and charged in connection with the brawl.

Christopher Hampton, 18, from Maywood, Illinois, and Tembra Hicks, 20, from Carol Stream, Illinois, have both been charged with battery over the incident.

It is unclear exactly what triggered the violence. O’Hare International have not confirmed which flight the group had been traveling on before the fight.

In a statement, Chicago Police said: ‘A verbal dispute while deplaning escalated in the lower level of terminal 3 when a 24-year-old female victim was punched by two offenders.

‘The offenders were placed into custody and charged accordingly.’

A statement from O’Hare International Airport said: ‘Safety and security are always the top priorities of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA).

‘We work closely with all of our federal partners present at O’Hare and Midway International Airports and the Chicago Police Department to ensure that everyone is safe when they are in our facilities.

‘The CDA also ensures that its airline partners have clear lines of communication to public safety resources for occurrences within their leased areas.’
