Beloved child star and musician Samantha Weinstein has died at age 28.
Weinstein died on May 14 at Toronto’s Princess Margaret Hospital, her father confirmed to Global News Canada.

Who was Samantha Weinstein
Samantha Gail Weinstein was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 20, 1995. She began her professional acting career at the age of six.
By 2008, at the age of thirteen, she had appeared in the films Siblings in 2004, Big Girl in 2005, Ninth Street Chronicles in 2006, The Stone Angel in 2007, and Toronto Stories in 2008.
She won an ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female in 2006 for her work in Big Girl, the youngest performer ever to win that award.
She was also a prolific voice actor, working in many cartoons right up until the past few weeks before her death, and was a singer and guitarist in the garage rock band Killer Virgins.

Samantha Weinstein died on May 14 at Toronto’s Princess Margaret Hospital, her father confirmed to Global News Canada.
“Sam was actually a living embodiment of a sunbeam,” her father, David Weinstein, told the outlet.
“She was so full of positive energy, anyone who ever met her would say that she just lit up every room she walked into.”
David called her daughter a “very prolific” voice actor – “because she could just let loose and be crazy… and have fun.”
