Ken Paxton Biography
Born on December 23, 1962, Ken Paxton, full name Warren Kenneth Paxton Jr. is an American lawyer and politician.
He holds a psychology degree and a Master of Business Administration both from Baylor University in 1985 and 1986 respectively.

Paxton then worked as a management consultant before returning to school in 1988 where he bagged a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia in 1991.
As a member of the Republican Party, at the time of this writing (Friday, May 26, 2023), he has served as the Attorney General of Texas since January 2015
After two terms in office, Paxton was re-elected to a third term as Attorney General on Tuesday, November 8, 2022
Prior to becoming an Attorney General, he served as Texas State Senator for the 8th district and the Texas State Representative for the 70th district.
Since 2015, Paxton has been under indictment on state securities fraud charges relating to activities prior to taking office but has pleaded not guilty.
In October 2020, a number of high-level assistants in Paxton’s office accused him of “bribery, abuse of office, and other crimes”.

Federal prosecutors in Texas commence an investigation into the matter and in February 2023 the investigation was assumed by the Justice Department in Washington, D.C.
In 2020, Paxton allegedly aided Donald Trump in his efforts to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election result after Joe Biden won Trump refused to concede.
After years of scandal, criminal charges, and corruption accusations against him (Ken Paxton), in May 2023 he hit major headlines.
On Friday, May 25, 2023, a Republican-controlled Texas House committee unanimously recommended impeaching the Attorney General.
The panel’s which is made up of three Republicans and two Democrats voted unanimously to recommend impeaching Paxton.
Within hours, lawmakers had filed twenty articles of impeachment, including for alleged bribery, unfitness for office, obstruction of justice, and abuse of public trust.
With this, if a simple majority of their colleagues agree, the attorney general would be immediately suspended from office pending a trial in the Senate.

Ken Paxton is married to Angela Paxton from Texas. It’s unclear when they met and when they got married.
Angela Paxton is also an American politician and a member of the Republican Party and has represented District 8 in the Texas Senate since 2019.
