Name and photo of one Ghanaian lecturer in the yet-to-be realeased ‘sɛx for grades’ documentary pops up

The BBC’s yet-to-be released documentary on ‘sɛx for grades’ at some top universities in the West African sub-region has already exposed two Ghanaian lecturers from the University of Ghana.

The trailer of the documentary shown by BBC reveals how a lecturer by name Dr Paul Kwame Butakor at Ghana’s premier university, asked to be the undercover journalist’s ‘side guy’.

Dr. Butakor who was exposed promised to offer the undercover lady a National Service placement at his department, to pave his way.

“How many guys have told you you’re beautiful today? Let me be your side guy? Men have side chicks..maybe you’ll be my side and I will also be your side. Because me, I’m married, my wife is not in the country though, my wife is out of the country,” Dr Butakor said.

“No distractions, your focus should be on your career. Then the side will see how best he can also contribute to your career and make you to become a better person. Let me be your side, your side guy ok? I will not give you trouble. Seriously I will not give you trouble, I will not give you trouble. I will not be a distraction to your life. Let me be your side guy?”
he repeatedly asked.

The already controversial documentary captures incidents of sɛxual harassment by one Nigerian lecturer, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu, at University of Lagos as well

The trailer of the investigations has sent some lecturers who may be guilty into a state of anxiety.

Although the official release of the full documentary is set to be today, October 7 at 6 pm on all BBC Africa’s social media handles, Facebook and Youtube.
