The government has decided to bring in new currency notes after they changed the design of the old notes when they came into power. The Bank of Ghana has revealed the new GHC100, GHC200 Cedi notes and GHC2 coin that will soon hit the market soon.
Dr. Ernest Addison who is the Governor of the Central Bank November 29, 2019, said the new cedi notes will help increase the value of the currency at a press conference in Accra on Friday. See Photos below:
