Ghanaian songstress, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, known in showbiz as Becca, has responded to reports that she may “quit music” by end of 2020.
Becca, at the beginning of this year took to her official Instagram page to announced her plans for the new decade, which included her desire to quit being a ‘recording’ artiste.

Many media houses, misconstrued her statement and reported that, she had intentions to quit her career as a musician altogether.
In response, the mother-of-one ,in a recent interview on Joy FM, has clarified her statement and assure her fans she is nowhere near quitting music.
According to Becca, she is only taking a break from being a RECORDING artist and not a performer.

She said: “I think a lot of times people don’t read. Now if you saw my post I put in quotes recording…I’m saying that I’m not going to actively record music.”
Becca told JoyNews’ Doreen Avio she is, however, open to being booked for shows and is willing to tour with her already existing albums.
“When was the last time you saw Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede, release new music but they’re still two of the highest-paid artistes,” she concluded.
