Burna Boy wins ‘Best International Act’ Award (+Video)

Burna Boy has been given the Best International Act at the 2020 BET Awards.

The Afrobeat sensation beat off competition from Stormzy, Dave, both UK based, Ninho and S.Pri Noir (France), Sho Madjozi (South Africa) and Innoss’B (DRC) in the popular category.

The Award was broadcast live from Microsoft Theater L.A. Live, June 28, 2020, probably due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

The award however was presented to him by International supermodel, Naomi Campbell.

The video which was posted on the official Twitter handle of BET has garnered many reactions for the music community in Nigeria, Africa and around the world.

Burna Boy has indeed succeeded fellow Nigerian, Davido who won in the previous year.
