Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother rushed to Madeira hospital after suffering stroke

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo‘s mother had to be rushed to hospital on Tuesday morning, March 3, after suffering stroke.

Dolores Aveiro is understood to have been admitted at Dr Nelio Mendonca Hospital in Madeira, her native home.

According to Mail Online citing local reports, Aveiro is conscious and stable, pending new tests in to determine her state of health.

One local report says she has suffered an ischemic stroke, caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain.

However, there has been no official statement from the hospital communicating Aveiro’s state of health at the time of admission.

Meanwhile, her health scare comes just a year after the mother of four divulged she was ‘fighting for her life’ following a new cancer drama.

I was operated on another breast in Madrid, I’ve had radiotherapy and now I’m fighting for my life,”

she was quoted saying at the time. At the time, she courageously battled breast cancer, having been diagnosed with the condition in 2007.
