Grieving LeBron James unveils new permanent tattoo in honour of Kobe Bryant amid tributes.

The world and basketball fraternity, in particular, was left in shock when Kobe Bryant died in a plane crash on Sunday on his way to a training session with his daughter Gianna.

Reports say, the group was flying to Thousand Oaks, California, for a basketball game, where Gianna was expected to play and Bryant was expected to coach.

Many athletes and professional teams have taken to social media to write tributes, including long-time friend, LeBron James.

And amid teeming tributes, James posted a photo of the tat, which features a Black mamba snake coiled around the numbers 24 and 8. “Mamba 4 Life” is written in cursive underneath the snake.

The ink is a tribute to the NBA legend, who wore the numbers 24 and 8 during his career with the Lakers.

Bryant’s tragic death came less than 24 hours after James moved ahead of him in the all-time NBA scoring charts.
