Mollie King was born on June 4, 1987. She was born in Wandsworth, London in the United Kingdom to Susan Wykes and Stephen King. She shares the same parents with her two sisters, Laura Ann and Ellen Catherine.
She was a student at Kingston-upon-Thames, London’s Surbiton High School. King, along with fellow student Chemmy Alcott, competed on the Surbiton High Ski team and enjoyed a great skiing career.
She joined the British Children’s Ski Team by the age of 11, and as a result, she was given a scholarship to the British Ski Academy.
She later competed for Great Britain in racing as one of the team’s youngest members, and she went on to ski for the British Alpine team despite declining a career in skiing in order to pursue her passion of becoming a singer.
Despite having been diagnosed with dyslexia, she received three As in her A levels in psychology, business and economics, and sport.

“Missing You,” the group’s ninth single, peaked at number three in the UK and number six in Ireland on the charts. “Higher” will be the album’s second single, according to Rochelle Wiseman. Flo Rida’s vocals for “Higher” were later confirmed via The Saturday’s official website.
On Your Radar, the girls’ third studio album, only spent three weeks in the UK Top 75 and peaked at a disappointing number 23.
However, it contained the top-ten singles “All Fired Up” and “Notorious” as well as the top-ten songs “My Heart Takes Over” and other hits. The band embarked on their first arena headlining tour, the All Fired Up Tour, in December 2011!
The Saturday’s first song from their upcoming fourth studio album, “30 Days,” was released in May 2012 and reached number seven on the charts. They briefly relocated from London to Los Angeles later that year in the hopes of conquering America.
The E! Network aired Chasing The Saturdays, a reality TV program that followed the girls during their three-month stay in America, in an effort to boost their single sales there.
King announced on October 11th, 2015, that she had inked a solo contract with Island Records and will be releasing a solo album in 2016.
“Back to You,” her first solo song, was made available on August 19, 2016. King revealed through Instagram on August 24 that “Hair Down,” her next single, would be released on September 1.
On November 26, 2020, UK pop group Steps released “To the Beat of My Heart” as the fourth promotional track of their sixth studio album, What the Future Holds. King co-wrote the song with Steps. The song is thought to have been recorded during the sessions for her abandoned debut solo album.
