The 2019 winner of TV reality show for plus size women was kicked out of an Emirates Airline flight to Dubai recently because her body size was bigger than the single seat on the plane.
We wants to share with our cherished readers why an airline can refuse a passenger boarding even after purchasing a ticket and having a visa.

According to Jetsanza, a passenger who will be refused to board a plane after purchasing ticket in advance for any of the reasons to be listed below will not be compensated, unless the airline is overbooked.
Below are 4 reasons a passenger could be denied boarding
Plus-size passengers
Weight of passengers apparently is a concern to pilots and airline operators. So if a passenger is plus size, he or she must contact the airline ahead of time for the appropriate arrangements to be made.
Also if your body size will not allow you to fit in a single seat comfortably, purchase an additional seat(s) or risk being prevented from flying.
Health
The flight crew can also deny you access to the plane if they have reason to believe the passenger is very sick and his or her condition is likely to affect others on the flight.
For any medical condition, it is advisable the passenger carries a letter from a medical doctor, stating you are fit to travel.
Drunk passengers
If you turn up at the boarding gate drunk, you can be turned away. It’s simple as ABC. If you intend to drink before your flight, drink in moderation.
The cabin crew reserve the right to stop you from boarding.

Overbooked flight
Airlines overbook their flights in case of no-shows. But what if everyone shows up? When this happens, it means some of the travellers won’t get on the plane.
When this happens, airlines try to get you on other airlines. If there are no available airlines, you will have to wait for the next available flight.
In this case, you are entitled to compensation provided you checked in on time. If you arrived at the counter after check-in was closed, you wouldn’t be told the flight was overbooked, and you will be denied based on the fact that you arrived late.
If the airline fails to compensate you, you can seek the advice of a lawyer.
