Footage released today by West Midlands Police shows 17-year-old killers Veadhesa and Shergill running behind Ronan, who is completely unaware he is being chased.

As the masked killers catch up to the popular schoolboy, Veadhesa delivers the blows.

The callous teenagers are seen to rush away from the scene, leaving their victim to die in the street.

The 16-year-old boy was just yards from his front door when Prabjeet Veadhesa violently thrust a horrifying weapon through his chest and side as accomplice Sukhman Shergill trailed behind him.

Veadhesa and Shergill were today detained for life at Wolverhampton Crown Court. Although Veadhesa was responsible for delivering the blows, Shergill was convicted on a joint enterprise basis.

Veadhesa and Shergill – both 16 at the time of the murder – were friends with Ronan and went to school with him at The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton.

During their trial, both claimed they had mistakenly attacked Ronan Knada and thought he was someone else.

They had intended to ‘scare’ another teenage boy who owed Shergill money, the killers insisted.

Jurors also heard how Veadhesa, hours before the murder, collected a Ninja sword set and a large machete from a local post-office after buying it online.
