Popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has explained she sued Mona Gucci for GHc500,000 last year for insulting her.
She was speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo of Accra FM, and Yvonne spoke impeccable Twi.

She was able to express herself so well in that local language telling what led her to take legal action against Mona.
According to her, when the case first went to court and Mona Gucci was served a letter to retract and apologise to her, she rather went online to insult and further attack Yvonne Nelson.
This behaviour from Mona Gucci triggered Yvonne Nelson’s quest to seek compensation from the court.

“We wrote to the radio station for an apology and wrote to her too. I think when she got the letter, she came out and rather insulted me, That’s why I took the case on, if not I would have let it be,” she said.
However, the actress added that there was no going back since what has been done can’t be undone, adding that she paid her lawyers and also dealt with the legal fees.
In 2020, Yvonne Nelson sued Mona Gucci for some malicious statements she made aboutcher, on her show which airs on Neat FM.
The Accra High Court presided over by Justice John Eugene Nyante Nyandu asked the popular TV presenter to pay GH¢500,000 to Yvonne Nelson and also apologise for her defamatory
publication about the actress.
